On 31 January 2025, the RESkills4NetZero project organised its first general assembly. The 4-year Erasmus+ Blueprint project will support the Renewable Energy Skills Partnership activities. Gathering 21 partners from 8 different countries (Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Romania, Sweden, The Netherlands) its primary objective is to design and implement a sustainable skills blueprint for Europe’s renewable energy industry, and for this, it will:
- Strengthen Partnerships: Establish a transnational consortium of stakeholders to collaboratively address skills gaps.
- Create Training Programs: Design and deliver curricula tailored to high-demand roles, incorporating work-based learning and cutting-edge technologies.
- Develop Certifications: Introduce EU-wide recognised certifications for renewable energy skills to enhance worker mobility and employability.
- Promote Careers in Renewables: Launch campaigns targeting transitioning workers and underrepresented groups to attract them to renewable energy careers.
- Ensure Long-term Impact: Align with EU policies such as the European Skills Agenda and the Pact for Skills to embed programs into broader strategic frameworks.
The project is coordinated by EIT Innoenergy, and the Steering Committee is composed of InnoEnergy, EUREC, SolarPower Europe, GCP Europe, Abodoo and Schuman Associates.
