The Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA) in partnership with Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) is hosting Windergy India 2017 at The Ashok, New Delhi.
As India increasingly turns to clean energy to power its growing economy, wind energy is poised to provide the foundation of the Renewable Energy Program in India. The wind energy sector is India’s largest and most successful renewable energy. Currently, India has an installed capacity of more than 27 GW of wind energy making it the 4th largest in the world. In 2015, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) announced a 60 GW target for wind power by 2022.
Windergy India 2017, which will include a 2-day conference and a 3-day trade fair, has opened a call for abstracts on the following topics:
- Operations and Maintenance
- Grid Management
- Wind resource forecasting
- Research & Development
- Component R&D
- Data software tools
- Logistics and transportation
Deadline for submissions is 28 February 2017
