Symposium on European PV Research Infrastructure

The Symposium on European PV Research Infrastructure will take place on 22 January 2015 in Chambery, France.
The SOPHIA Research Infrastructure project is now coming to an end. Focused on research infrastructures for 8 PV topics with 20 European partners, the results achieved after 4 years of activity in trans-national access, exchange and R&D will be presented as “lessons learnedâ€.
The CHEETAH project has just been launched and can take over SOPHIA achievements to a next level with even more partners involved (35).
The event will:
- highlight the main outcomes of the SOPHIA project and make proposals based on the lessons learned
- provide a forum for discussion on the type of PV research infrastructures and e-infrastructures required in Europe for the next decade covering several aspects:
1. R&D needs (upgrade, access, coordination, etc.)
2. Support innovation in the PV industry (pilot lines in particular, reliability and quality issues)
3. Training needs
4. Support to market integration (monitoring and management of millions of PV system
