SET Plan Workshop “Making EU industry less energy intensive and more competitive”
The Workshop “Continuing efforts to make EU industry less energy intensive and more competitive” is organised by the Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET Plan) Working Group 6 on Energy Efficiency in Industry, on 27/28 June 2018, in Brussels.
This Cooperation Workshop aims to contribute to the realisation of the Implementation Plan of the SET Plan Action 6 on Energy efficiency in industry: enhancing cooperation between National programmes and further developing the activities identified in the Implementation Plan into actual projects.
Countries representatives will meet and discuss together existing forms of cooperation, not necessarily in the field of energy efficiency in industry, to identify the best cooperation model for the future: bilateral or multi-lateral cooperation. To the complete audience, including also the stakeholders, the Countries representatives will then share information on the identified cooperation models and on their programme portfolios and project examples related to the Action 6 priorities.
In addition, parallel brokerage sessions, opened to countries representatives and stakeholders, will focus on further developing the activities into potential cooperative projects: presenting ideas of projects, looking for possible cross-border cooperation between similar and/or complementary ideas, identifying specific actors and potential financing sources for collaborative projects.
To ensure effective and efficient workshop, the number of attendees will be limited to 150 persons maximum. In particular, stakeholders will be invited to submit “idea(s) for project” (or draft project) before the workshop; in case of over-registration, priority will be given to stakeholders who have submitted one.
