24th October 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm CEST

High-performance batteries are key for sustainable mobility, smart energy systems and Europe’s climate neutrality. Additionally, they are one of the most complex elements in the system with tremendous environmental impact. The European Union acts on this dichotomy with the upcoming Battery Directive as part of the Circular Economy Action Plan.

Fraunhofer supports this endeavor: we deploy key enabling technologies for small-scale portable applications, mobility concepts and large-scale stationary systems and develop innovative solutions for manufacturing and the end-of-life phase.

Learn about challenges of and the potential for reusing, repairing and recycling. Join our three experts and Anna Cavazzini, Member of the European Parliament, to discuss technological developments and political processes for the creation of a sustainable, resilient and competitive battery value chain.

Take part of the Fraunhofer Twin Transition Series on Monday, 24 October 2022 – 13:00 to 14:00 CEST
