The International Energy Agency Technical Collaboration Program on Energy Conservation through Energy Storage has started the definition phase for a new Task on Storage for renewables and flexibility through standardized use of building mass.

The proposed task sets the goal to analyse and improve the technical and non-technical aspects of thermal activated building mass as energy and flexibility storage technology and accelerate its standardization across borders as a basis for wider market uptake and implementation.

The activity was initialised by us at the Austrian research institute AEE – Institute for sustainable technologies. With this message, we would like to invite you to the first task definition workshop on the 27^th of April, 10:00 – 15:00 CEST.

The workshop will be an online-only format to allow all who want to participate to do so, despite the ever-changing national and international COVID-Regulations.

After registration, you will receive confirmation and a calendar file for the workshop. A final agenda will be sent out to the participants 2 weeks prior to the event.
