This High-Level Conference is is the sixth of a series of “Energy Clustering Events” which take place in 2016 and 2017 to discuss and stimulate the development of innovative research and education programmes in the energy field.
Europe’s universities are key partners in research, innovation and education. Following the drive for more clean energy research and innovation through the Energy Union, the 10th anniversary of the European Commission`s Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET-Plan) and Mission Innovation, 2017 is an opportunity to take stock of the contributions of universities to the different European priorities in the field of energy.
With this conference aimed at high-level policymakers and university leadership, the European University Association (EUA) through its European Platform for Universities in Energy Research & Education (EUA-EPUE) and the UNI-SET project seek to strengthen the dialogue on the current and future role of universities in the triangle of Europe’s energy, research and higher education policy.
