EUA Energy Clustering Event

EUA is pleased to announce the date for its next Energy Clustering Event which will be hosted by the University of Lorraine (Nancy, France). The event seeks to strengthen the dialogue on the current and future role of universities in the triangle of Europe’s energy, research and higher education policy.

The event is aimed at university leadership, energy professionals and policy makers active in higher education and research in the field of energy, and will offer an opportunity for open exchange and idea generation on the topic of one of Europe’s most pressing Societal Challenges. The workshop will discuss and further develop the recommendations issued in the report “Energy Transition and the Future of Energy Research, Innovation and Education: An Action Agenda for European Universities”, a strategic document providing suggestions for universities and policymakers on updating energy education and research programmes prepared by the UNI-SET project.

Following the 2016 Roadmap for European Universities in Energy, the conference finally seeks to strengthen the work of EUA-EPUE. Part of the workshop will be dedicated to a discussion on how EUA-EPUE can enhance its support for universities at the European level and its involvement in the Energy Union and the European Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET-Plan).
