In the framework of EUREC’s networking activities, we organised the Workshop ‘Mission on 100 climate-neutral cities by 2030’, which took place online on the 8^th of June 2020, from 1pm to 4pm. The workshop’s title refers to a specific Mission planned for the Horizon Europe funding programme.

The workshop was a great success with 196 registered of which 136 joined the event.

The workshop sessions

Kicked off by the European Commission, the workshop consisted of two sessions:

The policy hub: an opportunity to deepen understanding of the Mission, its progress and the key questions ahead of it with representatives from the Mission Board.

The EUREC members’ view: EUREC members are European research centres dealing with renewable energy technologies and their adoption. They will share give their response to challenge of making cities greener through social, regulatory and technological measures.

Format & Interaction

Each session was based on presentations followed by a panel discussion with time dedicated for questions from the participants.
