Alongside MDPI Energies and under the editorial leadership of EUREC board member Andrea Michiorri (MINES ParisTech), EUREC is coordinating a Special Issue Journal focused on energy digitalisation and data to be published in September 2022. The objective is to bring solid peer reviewed research material and results to European digitalisation policy, particularly influencing the “Action Plan on the Digitalisation of the Energy System” to be debated next year (on which EUREC previously gave feedback). Success stories from the special issue will be shared as examples to showcase the potential of digitalisation and data applications in the European energy sector as well identify business cases for data sharing. This will give additional visibility and impact to the initiative and to the documents published.
EUREC launched the Special Issue with a workshop on 10th December, meeting with researchers and industry professionals to speak about the project, its focus areas, and the project timeline.
