FOSS is proud to announce the development of a new methodology in collaboration with Sandia National Laboratories, Solarcentury and Gantner Instruments GmbH! Scientists from the PV Technology Laboratory of FOSS Research Centre for Sustainable Energy of the University of Cyprus [Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering], the Sandia National Laboratories, Solarcentury, and Gantner Instruments GmbH, developed a new methodology for performance and reliability analysis that can purportedly bridge the qualitative-quantitative gap that exists in current operation and maintenance (O&M) practices for PV power plants.
The new methodology combines a series of data quality routines (DQRs) to ensure data fidelity by detecting and reconstructing invalid data through a sequence of filtering stages and inference techniques.
The article on “Data processing and quality verification for improved photovoltaic performance and reliability analytics,” by Andreas Livera, Marios Theristis, Elena Koumpli, Spyros Theocharides, George Makrides, Juergen Sutterlueti, Joshua S. Stein, and George E. Georghiou was recently published in Progress in Photovoltaics.
