Universities in the Energy Transition: Science & Skills for Renewables Integration gives name to the event hosted by KU Leuven (Leuven, Belgium) from 31 May to 2 June 2017. On this occasion you will have the opportunity to participate in discussions with world-class speakers, including academics, industry leaders and representatives of the EU energy policy sector.
The event is addressed to university leaders with an interest in the field of energy, including rectors, vice-rectors for research or academic affairs, deans of faculty, directors of institute, heads of laboratory, energy initiatives or other energy-related structures within universities.
Call for Contributions
You are invited to propose presentations for the conference’s parallel sessions highlighting good practices in university-led research, innovation and education in the following topics:
- Universities in Local Initiatives for Renewables Integration
- Grid interconnection at the regional and international level
- Demand response, smart grids & metering, consumers
- ICT, Big Data and Digital Solutions for Renewables
- Education, Training and Skills for the Renewables Sector
- Research & Training for Energy Storage Solutions
Good practices involving multidisciplinary approaches and experience in university-business partnerships from leaders of energy teams or departments, or at institutional, strategic level are particularly welcome.
