Celebrating individuals who are accelerating the clean energy revolution.
What is the Mission Innovation Programme?
The first cohort of Mission Innovation Champions was recognized in 2019 during the Mission Innovation Ministerial Meeting in Vancouver, Canada. At the Ministerial Meeting those 19 individuals were invited to meet with leaders, to celebrate their achievements as clean energy innovators. Today, we are proud to offer the second year of the Mission Innovation Champions program to recognize and support exceptional researchers and innovators who are developing novel ways of making energy cleaner, cheaper, and more reliable, and using it more efficiently. The Mission Innovation Champions programme calls worldwide attention to the most promising ideas from across the globe. We seek to facilitate engagement among the awardees and our Mission Innovation governments, research institutes, affiliated organizations, and private sector investors.
What do Mission Innovation Champions receive?
Champions will be flown to Viña del Mar, Chile, to take part in the fifth Mission Innovation Ministerial event in June of 2020. These Mission Innovation Champions will be publicly recognized by the Mission Innovation community and gain visibility through the active outreach and communication efforts of the Mission Innovation Secretariat. Mission Innovation will highlight the stories and ideas of the Champions at ministerial meetings, through the Mission Innovation website and social media.
