EUREC has collaborated with Future Cleantech Architects in a policy summary for EU lawmakers on measures to integrate support for high-impact innovation in the Renewable Energy Directive revision (RED III). In particular, the document recommends specific sub-targets for innovative RES within the renewable energy targets in RED III. The summary also includes support for data sharing initiatives, such as a suggested requirement that member states include in their National Energy and Climate Plans (NECP) how they will feed data from RES projects into the Common European Energy Data Space.
